I got a call from The Capitol to illustrate an article claiming that conservative and right-leaning positions are taking hold in the generally liberal state of New York. Based on a brief conversation with Art Director Adam Lisberg, we decided on a simple and graphic image of an elephant wallpapering a blue New York with a new coat of red.
